Handel's "Messiah" Concert: Sunday, December 6, 2009

Start your Christmas season in the best possible fashion. Join the Hanover Area Historical Society for the short trip to Annapolis to hear and see Handel's "Messiah" performed by the United States Naval Academy Glee Clubs, Hood College Women's Choir, and the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra at the Academy's historic Main Chapel. You'll thrill to the beauty and intricacies of the Chapel and the sounds of the matchless Messiah!!!!!.

We will be leaving early from Hanover in order to avoid possible traffic or other congestion problems. Parking at the Naval Academy is limited, so we must arrive early. Be sure to carefully check the Weather Channel prior to departure and dress accordingly. The doors to the Main Chapel open at 2:30 p.m. Everyone is asked to be seated by 2:50 p.m. Seating is reserved by pew number with presentation of your ticket. There is no intermission.

Itinerary

• 11:15 am Depart former Value City Parking Lot, Carlisle Street (Route 94), in Hanover . A brief on-your-own fast food lunch stop will be made enroute
• 2:00 pm Arrive at the US Naval Academy
• 2:30 pm Main Chapel doors open for the concert
• 3:00 pm Handel's "Messiah"
• 4:45 pm Concert ends
• 5:30 pm Provided dinner in Annapolis at the Old Country Buffet
• 6:30 pm Depart for Hanover
• 8:15 pm Approximate arrival in Hanover
